Passover Question
Question:
What to do with matzos crumbs: should they get collected and eaten, or simply wiped out and thrown away? Wiping out with wet cloths could possibly start secondary fermentation. Should dry wipes be used then?
Passover Answer(s)
Answer:
Jewish law defines chometz as any grain product that has been combined with water and has been allowed to sit longer than eighteen minutes before being fully cooked. So, if you do a prompt cleanup with a damp cloth, you should be ok. If concerned, use a dry cloth.
